Civil society gets first policy launch from coalition government. A 'round table event' in the Cabinet Room of Number 10 Downing Street was used as the launch to the Big Society programme, with both the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister adding their weight to the proceedings. A number of civil society community activists and leaders were invited to debate the policies. Official news release has a link to the 3 page policy agreement, or you can download the pdf at Cabinetoffice.
