Invitation to ‘Developing sustainable work with young people’: A unique one day Master Class for Youth Pastors and Church Youth Leaders, Lancaster Hall Hotel- Saturday 21st May


We would like to invite you to join the Youth Pastors and Leaders of Churches across London to our masterclass. The theme is building your performance – by making fuller use of Volunteers, Statutory Youth agencies and Practitioners and tapping into financial resources.


The masterclass is highly interactive in nature. It is facilitated by Yemisi Onigbinde, Chief Executive of Faithaction , who will ensure that you have plenty of opportunity to discuss issues individually, as well as with the group as a whole.
This masterclass looks in detail at the following three key areas, providing a series of practical tools and guidelines which you can use in your organisation. There will also be opportunity to share ideas and methods with other delegates.


1.     How to Sustain and Finance your Church Youth Work
·         Funding plans
·         Different types and sources of funding for churches and community projects
·         What criteria do funding bodies use?
·         How to make a project more sustainable?

2.     How to set up mentoring and coaching schemes
·        Good practice
·        Befriending
·        Mediation

Delivered by Mark Perrott, Director, Catalyst Trust - Experts in setting up and running community  coaching, mentoring and leadership programmes in tough places.


3.     Collaborating with Practitioners
·         Up to date policies and requirements for volunteer Youth Workers
·         What support is available for volunteer Youth Workers?
·         How to engage and work alongside Statutory and Community Stakeholders

This programme aims to build leadership capacity in the third sector at a time when the challenges and complexities of leadership in the third sector continue to grow. The programme aims to identify, develop and connect aspiring leaders in the wider third sector who are working for the benefit of individuals and communities across the UK.
